Right View: talk and practice

Episode Summary

One of the most important aspects of our live and our practice is how we see, experience and make sense of our world. In modern times we are inundated with media and information at a rate that we can barely process. With our attention bias towards negativity combined with the kind of digital food we consume it's no wonder many of us feel defeated, confused and uneasy about many things. The teachings on right view (samma ditthi) are designed for us to push ourselves into a perspective that is construction, wholesome and optimistic. This teaching is vastly misunderstood because for so many, it implies a "belief" in something. A dogmatic view which hinders our ability to take this on as a practice of moment-to-moment inquiry. At its most basic, right view is challenging us to maintain an ethical, philosophical and contemplative perspective on....everything!
